On Tuesday 2nd of October reports emerged of a major incident that happened at Lee Valley White Water Centre, today these reports are more clear of what has happened, East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “We were alerted at 11:32 BST to reports of a concern for welfare of a man at the Lee Valley White Water Centre on Station Road, Waltham Cross. Following this three land ambulances and two air ambulance teams were dispatched to the white water centre.

 

It has been announced that sadly Alan Soard, 38, from Lowestoft South fire station was pronounced dead on scene after Suffolk fire and rescue training excessive. My thoughts go to his loving family on there tragic loss of Alan. I am sure that everyone in the Kayaking/Canoeing world will pay respect to the men and women that train to help aid and rescue us if we get into trouble.
