Three days of racing will be held at the state of the art Olympic Canoe Slalom venue at Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire Friday April 13 – Sunday 15 April 2012.

With only one boat per class able to qualify for London 2012, there will be some hard fought racing and nail biting action, resulting in GB Canoeing’s nominations for Team GB.

For reference use only, to attend event you will need to have a valid Olympic event ticket. Competition kicks off at the Lee Valley White Water Centre on July 29, 2012 and the competition will end on August 1, 2012 make sure you watch it on TV the course is a amazing course and you might even find some of the best slalom paddlers in the world take a unexpected swim.

Paddling the legacy loop at Lee Valley White Water Centre

on Tuesday 10 may i was lucky enough to paddle the legacy loop at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, the course was great fun and I managed to film myself going down the course, The video below shows the course and some of its waves and features, I am sorry the quality is not brilliant i will try and get a better one next time i visit the centre. What was the 2015 Bid for the World Canoe Championships all about

As many of you may know on the 16th of April 2011 the Lee Valley White Water Centre secured its second major world championship with the world canoe slalom championships being hosted at the amassing new venue based in Waltham Cross – Broxbourne the bid was a very complexed one that covered a mass area of problems from public transport to tourist attractions other than the canoe slalom itself.

Below are two videos that outline the successful bid to hold the 2015 world canoe championships. Both formed part of the bid Which helped the centre secure its second world event.
This video is more aimed at the area the infrastructure of London and the area.

I have just stumbled across a video that might be of interest to many of you. The Official opening of Lee Valley White Water Centre in Waltham Cross – Broxbourne. On this day saw many VIP guest visits the venue when it was handed over to Lee Valley park. I know this event is a little old news but the video is of great interest and really enjoyable to watch. Live Update at the Lee Valley White Water Centre

The sun is out and the water is flowing thick and fast down the Lee Valley White Water centre I am there providing water safety for both the public and competitors who are fighting for a place in the GB team and to be in with a chance to be in the London 2012 Olympics

There are 4 pumps running today pumping 18,000l of water per second and the course is proving to be very hard as we have had a few swimmers but what do you expect for the best white water course in the world. I am working on getting some videos and pictures uploaded later, until then have a good day.

Lee Valley white water canoe centre now open

Lee Valley White Water Centre has finaly opened its doors to the public on 22nd April 2011 which saw the centre open for the first time to the general public to ride the London 2012 Olympic course in white water raft,we hope that many people enjoy the centre and the rapids it has to offer.

The new venue which is situated in Waltham Cross was originally going to be called the Broxbourne White Water Canoe Centre but Lee Valley wanted to have a name that related it to them and so it was renamed Lee Valley White Water Canoe Centre.
